END OF JANUARY PRAYER REQUEST
As Christ’s disciple, we are called to a ‘walk of faith’, and though we may not realize it, every day of a Christians life is part of that walk.
Whether we have a steady income with a pension and benefits, or as many of us at AYMI do, look to the Lord each month for His specific provision, every day is a walk of faith. We are foolish to think that what we possess we have due to our strength or abilities alone.
It’s the Lord who literally gives us the breath that we breathe each day, and without this we can do nothing.
It’s the Lord who gives us the ability to make wealth.
It’s the Lord who protects us when we don’t even realize we are in danger.
It’s the Lord who guides us when we are in confusion.
It’s the Lord that sends His ministering angels to help us.
It’s the Lord that will never leaves us and never forsakes us.
It’s the Lord. Not you and not me. It’s important to remember that truth today and to thank Him accordingly, because he deserves it!
Remember: He is God and He is worthy to be praised!

MID JANUARY PRAYER REQUEST
I’m not sure how you have viewed God in your life, but for a long time I perceived Him as someone who stood still and usually that meant that He was waiting for me to come to Him. I don’t know if I got this idea from the lyrics of a Christian song from the ‘60’s, a particular sermon I heard, or simply a bad dream, but even now I remember in my mind almost seeing Him standing and waiting. For some reason, this picture was often accompanied with Him being unhappy with me when I did arrive, like when I promised mom or dad I would be at the house at a specific time and I came home an hour late.
I know differently now. In fact, I know Jesus to be the pursuing God, the one who doggedly chases after us and never leaves us. He is so struck on you and I, that He will go to any length to be with us. He truly is the lover of the Song of Solomon, and His love will never be quenched for us. In fact, regardless of how we respond, this pursuit continues for our entire lives, until we go home to be with Him.
He never gives up on us. He never gives up on us! Never.

Welcome to 2012! We hope you had an amazing Christmas and New Years break during the past few weeks. If you’re like many people, you are looking forward to the year with a mix of excitement and anxiousness. Did you make your new years resolutions yet, or more likely, have you broken any of them by now? We all know that it’s hard to make changes in our lives, especially when one of the greatest tools we have to exact that change is personal willpower. That often evaporates by the second or third time you walk by the pan of brownies.
Maybe this will help. Put this one resolution at the head of your list, and focus on it everyday: “Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in.” Hebrews 12:1, 2. You will find that every goal, plan, and resolution you have will fall under this scripture, and you can expect good success if this is your goal for the year. Let me encourage you to expect great things from your God this year, because that’s the kind of God He is!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for continuing to pray for our ministries. We have only one request today as we are all getting back into the offices and the business of work:
• Please pray that the Father would give us His strategies for AYMI in all we do for 2012, that He would go before us in provision, in planning, in anointing and in favor, that His will would be done on earth through us, as it is in heaven.
God bless you!

MID OF DECEMBER PRAYER REQUEST
This has been an amazing year at AYMI. God has been completely faithful to us, just as He promised. As I am thinking of how the Lord has worked in and through AYMI in 2011, I am reminded of the quote from the Chronicles of Narnia when Susan asks if Aslan the Lion is safe:
“Ooh!” said Susan,”I’d thought he was a man. Is he quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion.”
“That you will dearie, and no mistake,” said Mrs Beaver, “if there’s anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they’re either braver than most or else just silly.”
“Then he isn’t safe?” said Lucy.
“Safe?” said Mr Beaver, “don’t you hear what Mrs Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
And that has been the legacy of the King in our ministry this year. Safe? Seemingly not. Good? Absolutely! Jesus has been everything good to us, and then some.
Please hear my heart: there is much of the Lord’s blessing that has come our way due to your faithful prayers for our ministry. Seriously, without that, I know that we would not be in the place we are today. From all of our staff and ministry team, our heartfelt thanks for standing with us. You will never know how important you are to this ministry until we are home together in heaven.
For this email, I want to take a moment to introduce the full/part time staff and volunteers from our team to you by name, and ask that you pray for them during the holiday season. Ask the Father to give them a great rest, and that they would sense His presence in a new way, that they would be refreshed for the new year. END OF NOVEMBER PRAYER REQUEST
It’s the time of year when we prepare for Christmas and all that it means. We are often cautioned not to make this season about gifts and parties alone, but the celebration of the birth of Christ and as you know, sometimes this is easier said than done. My only advice to you would be this: make a point of spending time with and enjoying those you are closest to, and tell them you love them. That’s what Jesus would focus on if you invited Him to your birthday party.
Thanks for praying for us at AYMI. It means so much to myself and our staff and I’d love to be able to see you all face to face to tell you this personally. Our heart is so thankful for what God has done in our ministry over 2011. At the same time we are in need of some specific direction and wisdom for the new year as we work to overcome various hurdles. Growth is both exciting and painful at the same time, and it requires us to work hard and to hear from the Lord.
Thanks for praying with us for the Lord to bless our matching donation challenge. He did! We both met and surpassed our goal, thanks to people like you who prayed for us and who gave. Continue to pray with us that the Lord would provide the day to day support we need to continue growing.
Though I’m not sharing specific requests today for each ministry, please pray for our team that God would be obvious in His direction, in His provision, and with His presence in both the ministries and the staff involved with each.
God bless!

(The Administrator of this prayer request would like to apologize for the delay of this request.)
END OF OCTOBER PRAYER REQUEST
Welcome to the end of October prayer email. (sent to you 2 days after the end of October, sorry for my tardiness)
A few days ago was Halloween here in Canada. We had a total of 10 kids come to our door, none of which were very scary. My wife was surprised at the few who showed up, and as a result it’s up to me to finish the 2 large boxes of chips that are left over.
Regardless of your take on whether or not we should celebrate Halloween, you have to agree that the ingenuity that is displayed in some of the masks and costumes is amazing. It’s wild how real some of them can appear, even though the actual person isn’t who you see on the outside; they are covered up, their identity is hidden, their true self is costumed.
Which is fine for Halloween but not so good for real life, especially in church. I really believe that some of the greatest ‘costumes’ of all time are worn every Sunday in churches across the country. It’s easy to put our masks on as we enter the building, and give an impression that betrays what is really going on in our lives. Not that we should display everything to everyone at church, (that’s just as bad) but it’s vitally important to be real with at least a few people: those who will love us, accept us, and will push us towards the cross when we need to be pushed.
Like Jesus, who takes us as we are, won’t reject us regardless of what we’ve done, and loves us unconditionally; period. He’s God and He can see through any mask or costume we wear anyway. Once we understand this, and we ‘rest’ in the Beloved, we will find it easier to be real with others and to love them the same way as He loves us. No costumes needed. No masks allowed.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38, 39
Thanks for believing in us enough to pray, here are our requests for this email:

MID OCTOBER PRAYER REQUEST
Thanks for praying for us. Please know that every time you pray, you make a difference. Every time!
Last week, Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Computers died. Steve was one of the most innovative people the technology world has ever seen. Through Apple, his inventions such as the iPhone, iMac, iPod, etc., are literally in millions and millions of homes around the world. There is no question that his life made a huge effect, I have personally followed Apple for 25 years. (I like to say that I was ‘Apple’ when ‘Apple’ wasn’t cool!)
It was interesting watching the news of his death on TV, newspapers, Facebook, etc. There were many accolades and ‘testimonies’ of how peoples lives were changed as a result of having their first ‘iPhone’, or whatever. And now at the ripe old age of 56, he is gone. Then it hit me: I’m 55, only 1 year his junior. I know that life holds no guarantee when it comes to how long we will live, but there are certain events that bring the frailty of the flesh into focus really clearly, and this was one of them for me.
Someone said once that life is lived in the ‘dash’: that’s the period of time etched on your gravestone that tells how long you have lived. In Steve Jobs case it says ‘1955 – 2011’, his life was lived within the ‘dash’, as will you and I. The point is that it’s not the length of the ‘dash’ that matters, it’s how we have lived.
Always remember: we’re living ‘within the dash’ today, so this is our time to make a difference, to effect change, to see people changed, to serve our God. Now is the time to live boldly, to spend our life on something that matters, not to hold back.
Today, ask God to use you to make an eternal difference in someone’s life, something that will last longer than their next purchase. Something forever.
Here are our requests for this email:
AYMI - www.aymi.ca
• This Friday (October 21) is the final day for our matching donation challenge, so we ask you to pray that the Father will pour out His financial provision on our ministry. Some of you have asked for more information about this. You can find it here:
http://aymi.ca/matching.html
• A year and a half ago, the Lord spoke to us about deepening our foundation in preparation for Him to build a larger ministry. He is starting to show us what some of that will look like, please be in prayer for us that we are able to discern His will, His direction, and His heart.
LifeFORCE Teams - www.lifeforceteams.com
• LifeFORCE is forging a brand new ministry vision, so we won’t be operating teams this year as in the past. Please pray for wisdom that we would step into the things of God not just good ideas.
• Please pray also that we would move in the timing of the Lord, and finally that God would bless us as we go
Eternal Riders – www.eternalriders.com
• Pray that the Canadian Director for Eternal Riders, Dallas McLean, is effective in sharing Christ during the coming winter season, that he has many open doors to share Christ.
• Eternal Riders will be at Snowfest in Red Deer this season. Pray that the Lord anoints them to share the gospel with those who need to know Christ
Legacy 1 - www.legacyone.ca
• Pray for creative direction as we put together our new show called, ‘But I Still Dare to Hope’.
• Pray for God to open doors for us to get into schools both here in Calgary, and across Canada
• Pray for God to provide for our individual support.
Street Invaders - www.streetinvaders.ca
• We have 2 upcoming events for previous and new Street Invaders students: ‘Revive’ in Surrey, BC on October 28 to 30, (www.streetinvaders.ca) and ‘Unshaken Youth Retreat’ in Regina, SK on November 10 – 13. (www.fueledyouth.com) be in prayer for these events that students would be touched by the Lord, refreshed and sent out to do His work.
• Pray for us as we set the direction for the 2012 program. We need to confirm overseas mission locations, leaders, churches, dates, etc.
AYM Creative - www.aymcreative.com
• Please pray for more outside clients that we can do work for, as this will bring funds into aymcreative.
• Pray that we are able to find good contractors to help with web design/development and graphic design
Motivational Media - www.motivationalmedia.ca
• Pray that more schools would be interested in hosting shows and that this would open other doors for evangelism in communities
• Pray that we are able to perform at a ministers conference in the new year; that this would be instrumental in opening doors in communities across western Canada.

END OF SEPTEMBER PRAYER
Thanks for praying for us. Please know that every time you pray, you make a difference. Every time!
Have you ever experienced a day or days when it seems like hope is in short supply in your life? We have all been through seasons like that, in fact you may even find yourself in one today. Having visiting this ‘spot’ in my life on a few occasions, I had a couple of thoughts that may be helpful for you.
First, it’s always good to think back to other times when you thought things* would never change. (* things = your life, your finances, your family, your calling, your spiritual walk, _______ ((fill in the blank)) Keeping a record of those times is important, because it reminds us of how God brought us through similar situations and provided for us. The Lord actually had the children of Israel remember His intervention by piling up a bunch of stones. Every time they, their children, or their grandchildren walked by the stones, it would remind them of the goodness of the Lord. (Joshua 4:1 – 7)
My other thought was this: Jesus said He would never leave us, nor forsake us. Never. (Hebrews 13:5) So, when things seem bleak, repeat this to yourself; ‘I’m not that special that Jesus would keep His promise with everyone in the world except me.’ In fact, write it down on the front pages of your bible. It will likely be the only time in your life when knowing ‘I’m not that special’ will be a great encouragement to you. Blessings.

MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER PRAYER
Welcome to the start of fall and another school year. (known to some ((usually parents)) as the most wonderful time of the year) What that means is the holiday you may have looked forward to for sometime, summer, is finished. But don’t worry, another special time of the year will soon be here; Thanksgiving, Christmas, New years, or something else.
I remember hearing someone speak about ‘in the meantime’, that space of time found between the events in our lives that we consider important and meaningful. For example, ‘Summer is over, Christmas won’t be here for a few months, so ‘in the meantime’.........’
The truth is, you and I will live most of our lives ‘in the meantime’. It’d be a shame to waste it by simply waiting for the next big event to come along. Sure, they’re great, but for most of us they will likely make up less than 10% of the time we are here on earth. What would happen if the lives we lived ‘in the meantime’ were ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ too? Seems like a tall order I know, but if you take it one day at a time, you’ll be surprised how exciting the meantime can be. Why not start today?
‘This is the day the LORD has made; let’s rejoice and be glad in it.’ - Psalms 118:24

END OF AUGUST PRAYER
What a year this has been for us! The Lord has proven His faithfulness to us so many times, and for that we are wildly thankful!
I want to take a moment to say thanks to you for your willingness to pray for us and the ministries we are involved in. We believe that God answers our prayers, and it’s because of that belief that we are gathering people who will pray regularly for us. People like you! (As of today, we are 2 people short of 1200, on our way to 2000. Would you help us find the next 800 people?)
For this email, I wanted to give you the opportunity to see some of the fruits of your prayers. Here are a few testimonies of His faithfulness.....
Street Invaders
• ‘We set up two signs saying, "FREE HEALING" at the exit of a fair ground. We prayed for this one girl who had just blown her knee out that day, and she was instantly healed and walking around. When she left she was dragging her now useless crutches across the street. AMAZING!’
• “We went to the skate park and we were there for a matter of a half an hour and I turned around to find one of my Street Invaders standing behind me. He said, "We just led 3 kids to the Lord!" Hallelujah!”
• “We studied the book of Romans while we were on our mission. We read a chapter a day and then get together and talk about what the Holy Spirit showed us. The amount of revelation and awe inspiring thinking that happened in those times were so great that at one point the students were holding their heads saying, "It's too much! It hurts! But keep talking!" That's Bible Study.”
Legacy One
“We just finished helping out at REVIVE youth conference put on by CFAM ( Canadian Filipino Alliance Ministries) There was about 250 youth there and we were there to do workshop classes. Our session was on "Living a Legacy" and answering to the call of God. The youth were really sweet and we got to chill and pray with a ton of them after the sessions. It was amazing to see what God did in some of their lives. It felt like a lot of youth came broken and beaten up and God did a lot of healing in their lives! It was very refreshing.”
Eternal Riders
“On Behalf of Eternal Riders Canada, I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who helped make Ride With Us Wakeboard Camp a huge success this year. It would not have been possible with out everyone’s contribution. I have herd nothing except positive remarks from everyone who was involved.
This year we had to fight some choppy waters, but with early morning and later evening sessions everyone got plenty of time on the water. The camp hosted 65 campers this year of varied experience levels, 7 boats, and 5 coaches. Everyone was able to progress their riding ability, whether they were going wake to wake for the first time, landing a new tricks, or simply learning how to be stronger riders.
The camp was an amazing weekend of learning what it means to “Commit your riding to the Lord”. Many people responded to the message of Christ for a first time, as well as being encouraged in living their lives as worship. We give God the glory for the amazing weekend.”
There are many more testimonies we could share, but suffice it to say that your prayers have made an impact. God bless you as you continue to intercede before the Lord on our behalf.
I’ll share only 2 prayer requests for this email:
a) Please pray for the students who were a part of Street Invaders this summer, that they would continue to walk closely with Jesus and that they would give away what they have received.
b) We are blessed to have another matching donation opportunity at AYMI. We have been given the opportunity to triple every donation we receive, up to a total of $12,500.00. That means we could realize $37.500.00 in total. Please pray that when we present this goal to people, that they will take up the challenge!
God bless you!

END OF JULY PRAYER
It’s Street Invaders time here in Eston, Saskatchewan, year 23 to be exact, and I have been here for every one of them. Each year we organize students into teams, and train their leaders to do a good job in leading them. Every year our students are taught to follow Jesus, how to fast, how to pray, how to share their faith, and why it’s important to live righteously when they arrive home again.
We talk about why they can’t have a relationship with someone new of the opposite sex while they are on Street Invaders, the infamous ‘Rule # 5’ for those of you who have never been with us. We train them in creative arts such as dance, drama, spoken word, and some of the new ones like vogueing and crumping. (Don’t ask me.....)
Every year, we fast 2 meals and talk about the power that Jesus can bring to your life if they use this discipline. We pray for the students, we pray over the students, and have them pray for each other. We worship 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes loud and fast, sometimes slow and quiet, sometimes silently. Every year we eat lots of food, distribute lots of t-shirts, drive lots of miles, pray lots of prayers and shed many tears.
And as was the case in every other year, the Holy Spirit shows up to be with us. Wow – every year for 23 years He pours out His love and power on the lives of our students!
You can’t find that kind of faithfulness anywhere. No person nor product can make that boast and back it up. He promised He would never leave us or forsake us. Once again, He is true to His Word, and He will be the same for all of us. Period.
Thanks for taking the time to pray for us this summer. Here are our requests:
Street Invaders - www.streetinvaders.ca
• We started this years programs this Sunday, July 24th in Saskatchewan, followed by Vancouver on Sunday August 7th and Quebec on Sunday, August 7th
• Pray for safety over the students and staff as they travel, and for a strong, deep life-changing anointing on everything they encounter during Street Invaders – our heart is to see life-long disciples made for the Kingdom of God
• Pray that many people become Christians through the teams this summer
AYMI - www.aymi.ca
• We have been given another opportunity for a matching donation campaign of $12,500.00. Please pray that the Lord would move on the hearts of people to step up to the matching challenge when we present it next month. This is a significant answer to prayer for us.
Many of our staff are traveling this summer doing camps, programs, etc., a lot of which is outside their normal involvement in our ministries. Pray for Danny and Alycia Delong, Greg and Chantel Denie, Lindsay and Shelly Hodges, Ben and Val Kostamo and many of the Legacy One team, that the Lord would anoint them all for His purposes and use them this summer for His glory.
Special request – our friends Mark and Sandi Gordon of Kelowna have lost all of their possessions to a fire a few days ago. They just recently moved into the condo and now have to start over again. Mark and Sandi and their family have been involved with us previously over a number of years, and we would ask that you pray for the Lord to work out all of the details as they start over.
News!
We believe that the power of prayer cannot be minimized, it’s what makes the difference in our lives and in our ministries. That’s why we are working towards our 2nd group of 1,000 prayers on our prayer email list, and you can help!
If you know someone who loves to pray, or if you know of a prayer group/ministry that would be interested in taking our requests to the Lord, please forward their information to us by replying to this email. God bless and thanks for standing with us in prayer! To reach Larry Moore, please call or e-mail him at 403-717-0707 and office@aymi.ca

JULY 1st PRAYER
It’s Canada Day Weekend, and the country is filled with fireworks, Royal visits, bonfires, camping and mosquitoes. This is the official start of summer for so many people, and that likely includes many of our prayer partners.
Our heart is that you would have an amazing summer, that you would be rested and would sense the Father with you wherever you may go. And as you go, would you keep us in your prayers? The scriptures tell us that we don’t have because we don’t ask, and so we want to be careful to ask great things for the purpose of the Kingdom of God this summer. It’s a privilege to have you join with us in that.
God bless you!
Here are our requests for this email:
Street Invaders - www.streetinvaders.ca - http://www.streetinvaders.ca

MID-JUNE PRAYER
Prayer is a popular thing. I did a Google search for the word ‘prayer’ and came up with 263,000,000 pages where it is mentioned; that’s a lot! (No I didn’t check them all out before I sent this email.) The world is steeped in prayer! We have books on prayer, we have teaching on prayer, we have courses on prayer, and YouTube videos that will show you how to do it correctly.
Prayer has it’s own theology (a number of them actually), and it’s own courses in many bible colleges and universities. You can get prayer shawls, prayer beads, prayer bands, prayer bookmarks, you can even make your own prayer closet. There are experts on prayer, we have meetings that center around prayer and there are special locations in the world that are famous because of prayer.
There is intercessory prayer, casual prayer, quick prayer, slow prayer, noon-day prayer, religious prayer, secular prayer and famous prayers. There are prayers etched in stone, prayers written in books to be read in churches. There is even a ‘Prayer For Dummies’.
But for all of the spin-offs and preparatory tools for prayer that exist, it often seems like there is little prayer actually being said. The reason for that is simple: it’s easier to talk about it, read about it, plan for it, study about it, than to just do it. Let me thank you again for taking the time to pray for our needs, and to encourage you that the best ‘pray-er’ is simply the one that does it.
Prayer, it’s our best work.
Thanks for taking the time to pray for the needs of our ministries, here are our requests for this email:

I trust you are well and that Jesus is your hope today...
Do you remember the story of Joseph the dreamer? One day he told his family about some dreams that he had, and how at some point they were all going to bow down to him. Big mistake! His brothers wanted to kill him, but they compromised by throwing him down a well, and then selling him into slavery. As if that wasn’t enough, he was sold the second time, ended up in jail, was lied to, was lied about, his reputation was seemingly soiled beyond redemption, and through all of this, there was no one for him to turn to for help. But what is the rest of the story?
Simply that God had planned all the time for this to happen and He used it for good.
Take heart when you walk through confusion, wildernesses, and times of despair. The ‘well’ you are in may or may not be of your making, but if you focus on Jesus in the middle of it and trust Him in it, ultimately you will find His purpose. He does all things well, and you can trust Him to do the same for you today. Look to Jesus, who not only started but will complete your faith:
‘Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in...’ - Hebrews 12:2 - The Message

My mom had a stroke on Saturday afternoon.
She was moved by medivac to Calgary Foothills hospital and my dad is in Calgary with me for this week.
I was on my way up on the elevator to visit her in the hospital in Medicine Hat for unrelated medical reasons when she fainted and went unresponsive and was moved to ICU.
She will be on observation for 3 days minimum at the Foothills Stroke investigation Unit.
She is stable, at peace and getting rest. It was a massive stroke involving 2 clots in her lungs and one in her brain.
I can’t say how many details of her condition I can be sure of but her right side of her body was completely paralyzed and blind but has now regained much of her mobility and some of her sight with the quick actions of the medical professionals in both Medicine Hat and here in Calgary, and of course God’s grace the whole time.
Can you please pass on my families prayer request for healing.
We are praying for the miracle of a complete recovery.
My dad is doing ok too, but please be sure to include us all in your prayers.
Thank you!
Melissa

Thanks for opening this email and reading it today.
A long time ago when I was a boy, my mother bought me a new pair of hockey skates. As you can imagine, growing up in a single parent family meant we didn’t have lots of money lying around, so the skates weren’t the ‘name’ brand I really wanted. (If memory serves me correctly, that would have been ‘CCM Tacks’ at the time) Anyway, I expressed my surprise with thanks, muted as it was, and then said something to the effect that I was hoping for another ‘brand’. As mothers will do, she replied with one of her memorable statements to the effect that ‘...you will appreciate the shoes you have when you see a man with no feet’.
I thought of that when I heard about the situation in the town of Slave Lake, Alberta, where so many people have lost their homes to fire. We may not live in the greatest house, but at least I stayed in my own bedroom last night. This morning, I ate at my kitchen table and Lord willing, I will do so again tonight. Perspective is a wonderful thing, if we can find it. Not sure what ‘brand of skates’ you have been given lately, but remember, be thankful in all things.
Please pray for our friends in northern Alberta who have lost so much so quickly.

One other thing. Please agree with us in prayer for youth workers to be called and placed in churches and ministries across the country. The scriptures tell us that the harvest is vast, but the workers are few. So ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers out into his harvest’. - Luke 10:2

To my family, fiends and everybody who is reading this prayer request.
Please include me in all your prayers as they found calcification on my right breast, they want to do a biopsy making sure that everything is okay.
Six (6) years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I am hoping that it's not back...I know how prayers can move mountains, it's just that this week is not really doing good for me, last Monday I also lost my job in the school I am working at.
Thank you! |

It’s election day in Canada, and what that will mean by the end of the night is anyone’s guess. If the past few weeks have proven anything, it’s that everything can change in a very short time. It’s important for us to vote, we’ve all been told that, but in the larger scheme of things, will it make a difference? Are you concerned about the direction the country is going and what the future holds for us? What does the future hold for our nation?
The reality is that we aren’t citizens of this world. We are ‘strangers in a strange land’, and though it is our responsibility as Christians to be good corporate citizens by voting, it is also important to remember that we serve One who ‘holds the Kings heart in His hand and can turn it whichever way He chooses’. He is in control, not the pundits, the party leaders, nor the media. We serve the One whom is in control of everything, and therefore whatever the outcome, it will be fine, because we are His. Be at peace.

It’s spring, or at least it’s supposed to be. It seems like wherever you live in Canada this year, the weather has been crazy. (As I type this, I’m looking outside at a snowstorm) There are a few things that draw us together in Canada, such as Tim Horton’s and hockey, and the weather is definitely in that category as well. If you’re like me, it’s normal to comment on the weather regularly, usually in the form of a complaint. Too cold, too hot. too much snow, too much rain, etc., I would have fit in well with the Israelites in the wilderness. On days like today, the people who believe in global warming are hard pressed to convince me of it’s validity.
It’s funny that we complain so much about something that we have absolutely no ability to change. Even more, it convicts me that I would complain so much about something that the Lord is completely in charge of and has authority over. The truth is, if He is in control and has decided that it will be ________ today, then we need to let Him fill in the blank and simply be thankful that He is the Lord.
You see, we really have little to complain about. Whether we weather the weather well will depend on who is in charge of our lives, and whether we will view our day through His eyes or those of your local meteorologist. It’s our call. So grab a Timmies, settle down with a great hockey game somewhere, and leave the weather to Him. Go Leafs!
‘This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.’ - Psalm 118:24

We are also interested in hearing what the Lord would say to you about us during some of those times, as we believe in the prophetic word. This type of involvement requires more commitment than what we have asked for in the past. Our desire is to develop a small group of intercessors that would be willing to hear from us as needed, would be willing to take those requests to the Lord in prayer, and would respond back to us if they sense the Lord saying anything for us.

I’m sure you’ve heard of what has been described as the 7 Wonders of the Natural World; Mount Everest, the Great Barrier Reef, the Grand Canyon, Victoria Falls, the Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, the Paricutin Volcano, and the Northern Lights. If you live in Canada, it would take a fair bit of money to travel and visit all of these sites. Each of them in their own right is amazing and a glorious part of the creation. There are actually many different lists of the ‘wonders’ of the world; wonders of the underwater world, wonders of the ancient world, etc. To be able to see each of them would be a trip of a lifetime.
Funny, isn’t it? People will travel all over the world to see all of these amazing things, and yet the worlds most amazing creation stares back at them each morning as they shave, or as they put their makeup on. The Bible tells us that you and I are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalms 139:14) The Father took an entire day of creation to make us, and then valued us so much that He sent His Son to rescue us. Soon, all of the creation, including the pyramids, the grand canyon and all of the wonders of the world will be destroyed but you and I will live forever.
It kind of makes you feel special, doesn’t it? That’s because you are. He loves you and I completely, unequivocally, and forever. We are His greatest wonder! Tell someone about the greatest Wonder of the world today.

To date, we haven’t met that goal. This is the only word that the Lord has ever given us about fundraising, and we believe that it’s imperative that we be obedient to that. Please pray for favor as we work towards this goal, we believe that the Lord has those people ready for us to speak to.

As I was driving to work today, I was thinking the book ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ by C.S. Lewis’, and I remembered a quote from the book that I wanted to share with you. It’s a conversation between Lucy and Mr. Beaver on the subject of Aslan:
“‘Is – is he a man?’ asked Lucy. ‘Aslan a man!’ said Mr. Beaver sternly. ‘Certainly not. I tell you he is the King of the wood and the son of the great Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea. Don’t you know who is the King of Beasts? Aslan is a lion, the Lion, the great Lion.’ ‘Ooh,’ said Susan, ‘I thought he was a man. Is he – quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion.’ ‘That you will, dearie, and make no mistake,’ said Mrs. Beaver; ‘if there’s anyone who can appear before Aslan without their knees knocking, they’re either braver than most or else just silly.’ ‘Then he isn’t safe?’ said Lucy. ‘Safe?’ said Mr. Beaver; ‘don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the king I tell you’.”
We’ve all been through times in our lives where we question, ‘What in the world is the Lord doing (or not doing) now?’. It would be great if we were able to know exactly, all the time, what His next move is. Then we would have all the answers we need, could plan out our future, and ....... once again we would be in control of the lives that we had previously surrendered to Him some time ago! As a disciple, we are called to follow the Lion of Judah, who can’t be considered ‘safe’ as we understand ‘safety’ (see – comfort, control, etc.) but He is always good! Rest in that. (Romans 11:33 – 36)

Do you ever have those days when you identify with Joseph? You know, the guy who was thrown into the pit by his brothers, sold twice, was lied about, and then seemingly forgotten? Yeah, that Joseph. When those types of things happen, I usually think along these lines:
1. Wait a minute, that’s not the way I thought my life would go....
2. Wait a minute, what about my dreams/plans/goals/will.....
3. Wait a minute, where is God? Has He forgotten altogether about me....
If you have experienced anything like that, you know the confusion, questions, frustrations, etc., that can surround you. The truth is:
1. God never once forgot about Joseph, nor will He forget about you and I
2. Joseph was never out of God’s hand in anything that happened, nor are you and I
3. God used it all for His will, His plan, and His glory, and He’ll do the same for us
Take heart, all of you Josephs of the Kingdom, He knew then, He knows now. He doesn’t forget. You will see His Hand in your life.

It’s the end of the first month of 2011, and you know what that means?!? Its also the end of thousands of New Years resolutions that people made, possibly including yourself. How is it that our plans can start out so exciting and hopeful at the beginning of a new year, only to change so quickly? For those of you who are a bit older, you know the drill all too well. It doesn’t seem to be enough to simply have good intentions, there has to be more.
That’s another reason why I love living with the Christ. The scriptures tell me that Jesus is alive today, interceding for you and I at the Fathers throne, so even when we fail, we can ultimately succeed. (Hebrews 7:25) There isn’t a New Years resolution in the world that can match that, because it’s about His strength and authority, not mine. He will always win, hands down.
Be encouraged! You aren’t forgotten, you aren’t missed, you aren’t that special that Jesus would apply the entire set of promises found in the canon of scriptures to everyone else’s life except for you. If we can simply realize that it’s not about our strength but His, we can ‘resolve’ to walk in greater victory every day. We’re praying for you, thanks for praying for us!

I hope that this Christmas was everything that Jesus meant it to be for you and your family. I was reflecting on the willingness of people to take time to pray for AYMI and our ministries, and I saw it as one of the best Christmas gifts we could ever receive.
You see, I honestly believe that Jesus answers the prayers of His people. So that means, when over a thousand of us go to Him with the needs of our ministry, there is no reason to believe that the answers not on it’s way. By the way, the same goes for you. My encouragement to you is that you throw off coat of unbelief that sometimes settles on our shoulders without us even realizing it, and during 2011: take God at His Word! Seriously, not only is this the reason that Jesus died so that we can experience the reality of communion with the Father, it’s truly the only thing that makes Christianity make sense.

Welcome to November! Our heart here at AYMI is that you would be believing Jesus for greater things today than you were this time last year. We have all been in places where it seems like we have to look up to see bottom and in fact some of us may have experienced that even recently. David was no stranger to that situation as shown in the Psalms. (Psalms 88 for example) There were many times it seemed like he felt like he was calling out to a God that wouldn’t answer.
But He will. And He has. And He will again. That faith that never gives up will be rewarded, and we have His Word on it. That’s why we are so honored that you would join us in prayer for our ministries, because we know that it makes a difference and He does answer! “You who sit down in the High God’s presence,
spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, say this: “God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!” - Psalms 91:1, 2 – The Message

Hi, I pray that you are well and that you have sensed the presence of Jesus recently in your life. It seems like as each week passes, I am more and more convinced of the truth that God not only hears when we pray, but that He answers when we pray. We often hear about people praying selfishly, asking God again and again for things that they really don’t need, but from what I can see, the reality is likely the opposite, that we don’t ask enough! The Bible tells us that we don’t have because we don’t ask, and encourages us to ask, even at the risk of praying amiss. The Holy Spirit will straighten that out for us as we go.
Thanks for praying for us! Please know that it makes an amazing difference. I wanted to take the time during this email to tell you a few of the answers to prayer that we have received. Here are just a few of some of the great things God has done as a result of your prayers:
• Through the Street Invaders team that went to Flin Flon, Manitoba this summer, we saw 10 students come to know Christ as Savior. As of this past week, they are all actively involved in the local church except for 1, and they have actually seen more students won to Christ as a result of their influence. Thanks for praying!
• We were offered a challenge to raise funds to match a donation opportunity of $12,500.00 in the past couple of months. We saw the challenge met and surpassed. Thanks for praying!
• During Street Invaders BootCamp, one of our students had 1 leg shorter than the other, and the foot on that leg was smaller. During prayer, the Lord healed both the leg and the foot. Thanks for praying!

During LifeFORCE this past spring, we saw many people come to know Christ through the teams ministry on the island of Malta. Thanks for praying!
• We have seen the launch of 2 new ministries here at AYMI: Legacy 1 and Motivational Media Canada. Both of these ministries came about as a result of an answer to prayer late last winter, where the Lord directed us to begin working towards seeing these started. As a result, we now will be working inside literally hundreds of secular schools, bringing messages of hope and truth, as well as sharing in the communities where the schools are. Thanks for praying!
• As you know if you have been praying with and for us for any length of time, finances are an ongoing need in our ministry. As a staff, we are believing in faith that the Lord is going to meet all of our needs, both daily and long term, for the ministry and each staff person involved. This step of faith has already begun to be answered. Thanks for praying!
These are just a few of the prayers that have been answered. This Thanksgiving, we want to say thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness, and to you for yours. I encourage you to take a few minutes sometime this week and thank the Lord for all that He has done for you personally.
God bless! |

Praise the Lord! In case you have struggled with your walk over the past while, let me remind you that He still hears us when we talk to Him, and He still answers our prayers! Psalms 107 tells us that in 4 separate times of need; some of which people fell into seemingly by accident and others by their own will, the Lord answered their cry for help. Every time. All of them. You and I can expect the same thing from Him. Remember, none of us are so special that Jesus would make an example of us as the 1 and only person to whom His promises would not apply. Deserving? No. Included? Yes.
Thanks for believing in us! This has been one of the best years on record for our ministries, and your prayers are being answered every day. Here are our requests for this email:

Hope that your summer was amazing! We have just finished off our Street Invaders programs for 2010, and once again, God was very present. Our Saskatchewan program was the largest in history this summer! We have seen salvations, healings, people brought back to walk with Jesus afresh, and significant times of His manifest presence in our meetings. Wow, if I could only take all of you that pray for us to experience a few days of SI, it would be great! Here are our requests for today:

I hope your summer is going well and that you have taken some time to enjoy some of the best of the Lord’s creation. Thanks for praying even during the summer, as this is one of our busiest times.
Our prayer requests for this email are simply this:
Pray that the Lord would continue to touch the lives of young people through Street Invaders this summer. Pray that:
• people would become Christians
• Christians would become deeper disciples
• the power of Christ would be evident in signs and wonders through our students
• that there would be deep, lasting, evident change in the lives of our students
2. Pray that the Lord would continue to meet our financial needs as an organization, that He would draw people to partner with us financially and in prayer.
God bless and thanks so much for being involved with us here at AYMI. Blessings! |

I was reading the story of Abraham and Isaac today when they went to the mountain to sacrifice. It struck me that this must have been a horrendous journey for Abraham. Think about it: the same God that had promised Abraham a son, was asking him to give the son back! All I can think of is how I would have responded in this situation, and I can’t say that I would have had the faith of Abraham to believe God that it would all work out.
But it did! The story ends with the angel of the Lord telling Abraham not to sacrifice Isaac, the provision of a ram in the bush as a replacement and Abraham naming the place ‘Jehovah-Jireh’, which means ‘the Lord will see’ or ‘the Lord will provide’. (Genesis 22:1 – 14)
This is the same God that you and I serve. The same promises recorded in the scriptures can be applied to any situation we find ourselves in. It’s on this basis that I invite you to pray with us to Jehovah-Jireh that He would meet our needs.
God bless you as you join with us.
(SEE CONTINUATION BELOW) |

AYMI (www.aymi.ca)
• Pray that the Jehovah-Jireh opens the windows of heaven and pours out a financial blessing on our ministry, that our needs would be met every month, and that we wouldn’t simply have our needs met, but it would allow us to help meet the needs of others
Street Invaders (www.streetinvaders.ca)
• This is it! Street Invaders BC starts this Sunday and the rest of the programs will follow soon! Please pray for us this summer that the Lord would:
- see many people won to Christ
- see many students become more committed disciples of Christ
- see people inspired to share the gospel all across Canada
- see compassionate and wise leadership in all we do
Legacy 1 (www.legacyone.ca)

Here’s a promise that we need to rely on every day: ‘Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever’.
Psalms 125:1,2
What would it be like to serve a God who couldn’t be trusted to keep His Word? To not show up when He is needed? To not care about our lives, even the smallest parts of our lives? That’s not our Father, that’s not how He operates. He looks out for His children because He loves us completely, all the time, period! His love for you and I is not based on our behavior or our accomplishments, it’s based on the shed blood of His Son Jesus. That will never change! Our prayer is that you would trust this God with your life. Without Him, we can do nothing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for praying for us. Really, it means a lot to know that you would take the time to speak to our Father about our needs.
Thanks for caring, here are the requests for this email:

There is no one as faithful as the Lord. Even in the times when it seems like we can’t see His face, hear His voice, sense His presence, the scriptures tell us that He is still there, still faithful, having never left us. Wow. Who else can we say that about? Jesus said, ‘Remember: I am with you always, to the end of the age.’ That is what we hold on to, I trust that it will be a great reminder to you as well. Here are this editions prayer needs:
LifeFORCE Teams
• pray for each of the 3 teams: Saskatoon, Malta and Philippines; that they would follow hard after the Lord and listen closely for His voice in all that they do
• pray that they continue to be protected wherever they go

• thank the Lord for all of those who are becoming Christians through the ministry of our teams

• pray for direction in a possible new BootCamp that would be located in Halifax, Nova Scotia this year

Please pray for EL NINO problem in the Philippines.
There has been drought all over the country. Crops are dying, animals, and fishes in ponds, lakes and rivers are also dying. Some of the provinces are already in a state of calamity. Even the sources of drinking water are now in danger.
Let us pray that God will provide them the rain they needed to overcome this problem. Also pray for the people that they will be able to handle the heat, endure the pain and anxiety, be safe and healthy and have strength and the faith to call on God and hold on to His promises.
Let us also pray for other countries who are also experiencing earthquakes, tsunamis, famine and chaos. Our Christian brothers and sisters who are being persecuted. |

Hello,
Thank you so much for all your prayers for my sister, Miriam, and her family.
Thank you also for some financial help extended to her.
The surgery on removal of around 8 inches of her intestines with tumor went alright.
She is now recuperating and will be going back to the hospital in February for CT scan of her liver, where
the doctors felt another tumor.
May we request for your continuous prayer for her healing, her husband's (Julius) strength - physical, emotional and
spiritual and also their daughter's (Mica) faith during this time.
God Bless you all.

| The father of our friend Dean has been diagnosed with lymphoma. He is scheduled for operation in the next couple of days. The doctors believed he has 60% of recovery. We wanted to entrust him in the loving hands of our Lord, that His perfect will shall be done in his life. We pray that this situation will touch the hearts of the family to know that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and our only Hope in times of troubles. |

I just would like to update you on Ricky's back pain. Praise the Lord that he was able to have his MRI test last Tuesday. I know how hard it is to have your MRI schedule but the Lord provided a way. This afternoon he got the result and no major things to worry about. The doctor just told him to have physiotherapy on a regular basis. He needs to stay home for another week and see if the physio works.
Thank you for all your prayers.
God bless us.

| We pray for the safety of the family of our Vietnamese friends. The Typhoon Ketsana which hit the Phils is now now wreaking havoc in Vietnam too. Lord, protect these people just like you have protected the Filipinos. |

| Lord we pray for wisdom on how to comfort family and friends in the Philippines who were affected by the flood. Help us to use this time to let them know that there is a God who looks after His children and that outside appearances are not much important compared to the eternal glory and riches awaiting for us if we only believe in You... |

Thank you so much for all your prayers.
Just spoke with my sister (in the Phils) , Miriam, this morning.
Julius is out of the hospital (he was there since Monday, Sept 21 - pneumonia)
This is the second time he was hospitalized because of pneumonia this year.
The first one was in June .(where he stayed for 5 days in hospital)
My sister said that this time, it had really affected the heart.
Julius has decided to go through the heart operation/surgery.
He has to be strong, though, before this happens.
He is now recuperating; doctors advised rest; taking medications etc.
We would like to request again for your prayers for :
Julius' physical strength
Julius' faith
Miriam's and Micah's emotional and physical stability, wisdom, comfort, calmness, peace, faith
Please pray also for the financial part as this operation, as we may all know, commands a big sum of money.
Thank you once again.
Take care and God Bless you all.

Praise God for Raina just gave birth to a 9.6 lbs baby boy, at 8:09 yesterday morning. His name is Lokule Adriel Arellano Nichola. Both of them are at home already and doing good.
Please continue to pray for Raina and especially the baby's health. The baby was too big and had to be suctioned and in the process his both arms have to be pulled and apparently the right arm got broken. The baby will still have to go back on Tuesday to the hospital for further treatment.
Thank you all for your prayers.

NEWS UPDATE
As of now, Tita Jane is still in the hospital, under observation and waiting for the results of the other medical examinations administered on her. But so far, her CT Scan is okay. No damage done. Probably by tomorrow, she will be discharged.
